✝️ The Sacraments in Our Church

The Catholic Apostolic Church Europe believes in and professes the seven holy Sacraments as they were lived in the ancient Church and are preserved to this day in the Orthodox and Roman Catholic traditions.

The Sacraments are holy signs in which Christ Himself acts in His Church. Through them God gives grace, healing, and strength for Christian life.

1. Baptism

In Baptism we are reborn in Christ, freed from sin, and received into the communion of the Church.

2. Confirmation / Anointing with Holy Chrism

Through anointing with the holy Myron/Chrism we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit for maturity in faith and courageous witness.

3. Eucharist

In the Holy Eucharist we encounter Christ in His true Body and Blood. It is the source and summit of ecclesial life.

4. Confession / Reconciliation

In the Sacrament of Reconciliation we experience forgiveness, healing, and a new beginning.

5. Anointing of the Sick

Through prayer and anointing we entrust the sick and suffering to the healing presence of Christ.

6. Marriage

A man and a woman are blessed in the covenant of marriage to live together in love and fidelity.

7. Holy Orders

In the Sacrament of Holy Orders, deacons, priests, and bishops are ordained for the service of the Church in apostolic succession.

Sacramentals

Alongside the Sacraments, our Church also recognizes sacramentals: holy signs, prayers, and blessings that accompany the daily life of the faithful.

Blessing of persons, homes, and objects.

Blessing of water, salt, oil, and incense.

Crosses, icons, and sacred images.

Signs of blessing and protection, such as the sign of the Cross.

In the unity of Tradition

In celebrating the Sacraments we feel deeply united with the Orthodox tradition, the Roman Catholic tradition, and the undivided Church of the first centuries. We wish faithfully to preserve what has been entrusted to us, for the glory of God and the salvation of His people.
